FAQ’s

When filing a tax return, you have two options. You can either submit one via paper, or online. If you choose to use the former method, then you have until the 31st October each year. If you choose the latter method, then you have a little longer to submit your tax return, and the deadline is 31st January.

When you become a director of a limited company you are required to submit a personal tax return.

HMRC will write to you in April or May each year, if the believe that you are required to complete a self-assessed tax return. From then, you will have until the following January to complete and file one online. If you are unable to file a tax return online, you can submit one by paper, however the deadline for this is much earlier in October of the same year.
